RAVENOL, the lubricant specialist from Werther, is celebrating a historic overall victory at the legendary 24-hour race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife together with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the RAVENOL Racing Team #80 Mercedes-AMG GT3. At one of the absolute highlights of the international motorsport calendar — staged in the Eifel region on the world’s longest race track and with RAVENOL as title partner — more than 350,000 fans on site and millions of viewers around the world created an extraordinary backdrop. More than one third of the entire starting field relied on RAVENOL racing oils — a powerful testament to the confidence placed by numerous teams and manufacturers in the performance and reliability of RAVENOL products under the most extreme conditions.

Eighty years of expertise, development work and motorsport passion have culminated in one of the most significant achievements in RAVENOL’s company history. The driver quartet of Maro Engel, Maxime Martin, Fabian Schiller and Luca Stolz made this success possible, delivering a commanding performance in one of the most dramatic and competitive editions of the race in recent years and securing the prestigious overall victory in the world’s largest endurance race.

After a setback in qualifying, the RAVENOL Mercedes-AMG GT3 #80 produced an impressively consistent and faultless performance over the full 24-hour distance, steadily moving up from 25th on the grid to the very front of the field. Around three and a half hours before the finish, the car took the lead ahead of its GT3 sister car, the #3, which was driven, among others, by four-time Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen. In the decisive closing stages, the “Cheetah” controlled the race with authority and defended the lead flawlessly all the way to the chequered flag. AMG Performance driver and RAVENOL brand ambassador Maro Engel completed the final laps with remarkable composure, experience and nerves of steel, sealing a much-celebrated triumph in the Green Hell.
Martin Huning, Director RAVENOL Motorsport, said:
“For us at RAVENOL, this overall victory is an absolutely historic and highly emotional milestone. After the major setback in qualifying, the entire team showed exceptional fighting spirit, outstanding professionalism and true team unity. The Green Hell demanded everything from us with extreme weather changes and the toughest conditions. That makes us all the prouder to hold this winner’s trophy in our hands together with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and the entire team.”
