Snowmobiles are machines built for extreme conditions. Freezing temperatures when starting the engine, followed shortly afterwards by full throttle in the upper RPM range—the drastic temperature differences that a snowmobile engine experiences in a very short time call for oils that perform reliably in both temperature ranges: during a cold start as well as at full throttle in the snow.
