RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal is a high-temperature resistant sealant (from -60°C to +280°C and up to 300°C for up to 2 hours). The acetate-based material is solvent-free, pressure-resistant, highly adhesive and extremely elastic with an elongation at break of 500%, while the basic consistency is paste-like.
RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal is suitable for sealing, bonding and applications where particularly high oil and grease resistance is required.
RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal is ideal for components such as: housing-, transmission- and valve covers, oil pumps and oil pans water pumps, flanges, axles and tanks; but can also be used in many other applications that match the extensive capabilities of the material.
Application Note
RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal requires that the respective surfaces are free of grease and cleaned before use. Our RAVENOL Sealant Remover is very suitable for removing old gaskets, rough soiling or residues, etc. We recommend our RAVENOL Bremsenreiniger (brake cleaner) to ensure an absolutely clean application surface.
Note:
RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal has a curing speed of 2-3 mm within the first 24 hours at +5°C to +40°C and 30-90% relative humidity and should not be painted over after hardening. Gaps up to 5 mm and joints up to a width of 25 mm can be safely bridged.
RAVENOL High Performance Engine Seal can be optimally processed at temperatures from +5°C to +35°C and forms a skin after 7 minutes. If stored properly (normal climate), the container has a shelf life of 12 months and should be used up as quickly as possible.
